Julia Quinn 'On the Way to the Wedding'

Disclaimer, I really like Julia Quinn. This is one of her best, dialog so witty you feel like you are falling behind as your read it. Lucy is best friends with the very beautiful Hermione. When the youngest Bridgerton male, Gregory falls madly infatuated with Hermione he turns to Lucy for help. This allows them to spend a lot of time together and allows Gregory enough time to finally realize Lucy is so much more fun.

Quinn is so skillful I didn't notice the lack of sex until well past the halfway mark in the book. There is even a (mostly) believable plot twist that was (almost) completely surprising. Gotta love this author.

Wait, I thought you said in your previous post that you never give a book a 5. What gives?

Oh sure, snarky girl. Yes, yes, I ALMOST never give 5's. But my brother (who knows more about blogs) pointed out that the more positive I am in my reviews the more writers who will want me to review them. Or something like that. This is all very complicated!

Tell Dong In he needs to post some comments too. :) Now I understand the Moby Dick thing, this is fun!

Oooh, "Snarky Girl." I like that! I might use that as my new online moniker.
I'll tell Dong In to post some comments. He might've thought this was an ovaries-only blog....

Well, I think I need more people involved who like blogs, not just women who read romance novels. Cause pretty much Erin is the only person I know who reads them and she uses the computer once a year when she has to. (Oh, did I just 'out her' about the romance reading? Sorry Erin!)

Hi Lis-

Wonderful blog, I am really enjoying reading it! Congratulations on launching this impressive project. I'm not sure I can relate to the subject matter very well, having never really read a romance novel, but the reviews certainly are entertaining.

I took the liberty of jazzing up the layout of one of your posts a bit with some graphics and images, since I think visuals are the heart and sould of a blog. You can see my rendering here:
